As co-founder of EQU Advisors, Veena Abraham draws upon her experience as an attorney, higher education administrator, and executive search consultant. Based in Orlando, Florida she has experience in a range of searches for senior academic administrators, including presidents, provosts, and deans at distinguished educational and cultural institutions across the nation.

Prior to becoming a higher education consultant, Veena was Senior Director of Regional Engagement for the University of Miami in Florida. In this role, she led the vision for a CASE award-winning regional strategy for the University of Miami Alumni Association and was responsible for the planning and implementation of a 22-city international tour for President Emerita Donna Shalala.

Veena served as the Associate Director of Regional Programs for Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. Prior to working in higher education, Veena was a retail buyer and practiced law as a corporate immigration attorney. Veena is an active alumna, presently serving as a Georgetown Alumni Admissions interviewer, and she has served on the Georgetown University Miami Alumni Executive Board.
